Monday Motivation

Happy Monday Crafters!

This quote speaks to my very core.  I am an introvert, at times majorly so.  I don't even like to talk on the phone. So, my creativity is my outlet, and it's the way I connect with people.  It's a huge part of my identity.

When I created my blog and YouTube channel in 2011, a level of creativity awakened in me that I didn't even know existed, and I love being able to share it with you.  Would I like to find that product niche that's mine that makes me money?  Sure.  But time and time again, it all comes back to sharing my ideas with you.  That brings me the most joy.  That just seems to be what I've been put here to do.  In fact, one of my absolute favorite things about my creative journey has been receiving e-mails, or private messages or comments on my videos saying that you've tried a new craft, or that you and your friends gathered together for a craft night, or that you and a family member connected through crafting.  That just makes me think, "Yea, this crafting thing is awesome.  I love that people are creating and bringing beauty into this world and feeling proud of themselves, as they should." 

So on this Monday, I want to encourage you to be bold.  It's time to do that project you've been thinking about doing.  You know the one.  That project.  The one you've been coming back to in your head for maybe a year.  You know what mine is?  It's creating my reading nook in the breezeway outside my craft room.  What's involved with that you ask?  Oh, a textured wall process and sewing custom, pink pinch pleat curtains...because nothing else will satisfy me...because when I get the picture of what I want in my head it's like I HAVE to create it.  So after I am finished with my daughter's Sadie Hawkins dance decorations next month, that's the project that's going to get done.  Tell me your project.  I want to know.

And remember this.  Creativity is messy.  It's a process.  It's never perfected.  But in the journey comes growth, and for some like myself, peace and happiness.  Now make your ideas a reality this week.  Create!
