New Target Storage Review

Hi Everyone,

I bought a new storage piece from Target today, along with the hot pink baskets--the ClosetMaid Cubeicals (yes, that IS how it's spelled) Mini 6 Cube Organizer .  You may have seen it in the stores already.

As you know, I like to give my viewers my honest opinion of products, so I thought I would do that here.

Let me preface this by saying that I put every single one of my JetMax Cubes from Michael's together, including the crumby 12x12 paper storage filing cabinets.  So, I am no stranger to assembly.  HOWEVER, think about the Dad in "A Christmas Story" putting his leg lamp back together with glue and then gingerly placing the lampshade on top only to have the whole thing come toppling down.  WELL, that happened to me three times while TRYING to assemble this thing.  All of the inside dividers/panels are held together with dowels and glue, and until you get the top secured on it with screws, it is a wobbly, precarious MESS!  It was so bad that the the dowels even ripped out of the sides of the particle board, but I figured once I got some screws in place and the baskets in the cubbies you would not be able to tell.

The overall effect is cute, once assembled.  And it comes with hangers for the wall.  It is inexpensive (hence the construction) at around $15 for the cubicle unit and $8 for a set of two baskets.  My advice:  IF you intend on purchasing this, make sure you sit down to assemble this without ANY distractions and with a LOT of patience.

  1. Looks like a great job! Think you could put some industrial size shelving together? We can always use an extra hand)))
