Angela, where do you get your inspiration?

I've had people ask me that question quite a few times.  There are lots of answers....shopping, TV, books, magazines, Pinterest, from other crafters, and some things just simply come to me.  I tend to think about a project or theme for days or weeks.

There is an interesting artistic vibe in Oklahoma City, so I love getting out and finding new shopping treasures!  I not only look for cool products, but I also look at color combinations and how different patterns and textures are used.  You can learn a lot from just getting out and "window shopping"!  I have access to some really inspirational places, one of which is a family favorite--Pinkitzel.  It is, first and foremost, a cupcake and candy store.  So obviously my children love to go there.  But this Mommy goes there to get inspired as well, not by the food (which is great) but by the atmosphere.  I LOVE the decor!!  I spoke with the owner today about her totally chic curtains.  It turns out she made them herself!  So, she is not only a business woman, but a crafter too, in my opinion.  So, the next time you find yourself in OKC, stop by Pinkitzel (downtown) and soak in the fabulousness!  http://www.pinkitzel.com/

Here are some pics to give you an idea of why I am so drawn to this store!  (She even has my pink cuckoo clock)!

LOVE the chandeliers!!!

LOVE that fabulous pink fabric at the bottom of the curtains.

So, you just never know where you might find your own brand of inspiration!
