"Low point! Low point!"

So, like I said on my FB page this morning, I had a Kate Winslet from The Holiday "Low point!  Low point!" moment.  (No, I didn't breath gas from the stove.)  It began last night and carried over into this morning.  I just started feeling overwhelmed with all the boxes, the displacement, the details still left over with the closings of both my homes (the one we are selling and the one we are buying), all the utilities, hailstorm repairs, the threat of hailstorms one more night on my new roof, and the general feeling of being out of control.  I am a control freak, so I don't like that feeling.  This is our third move in four years, and to say that I am tired of it all....well, that would be an understatement.  You chics that move a lot know what I'm talking about.  I have reminded my husband OFTEN over the past six months that I'm not moving again.

So, one of my sweet followers, Beth, suggested I get out of the house and go shopping.  Naturally, I agreed. And my husband encouraged it because he knew I was getting uncomfortable AND irritable. The saying "If Momma ain't happy..."  is EXTREMELY true in our house.  I digress.

I am trying to visit my favorite Edmond/OKC places one last time before I leave.  This town has some good shopping.  I decided to go to Vu's Fabric shop in Edmond.  My Mom and I will be sewing some curtains this summer (something new and exciting for us), and I'm on the hunt for fabrics (without breaking the bank). Don't worry.  I will blog all about it...from a newbie's perspective.  Anyway, I found some yummy orange trellis fabric for my breakfast area.  Check it out:

I thought this machine was way cool.  It rolled up the fabric and measured how many yards were on the roll all at once.  Again, I'm a newbie.

I can't wait to see how this fabric looks hanging up.  I think it's very cheery, and it makes me smile.

I also went to Fabrics Unlimited in OKC to look around, and I drooled over this chandelier fabric. I think it is fabulous; HOWEVER, I don't think the price is fabulous...$120/yard.  Yep, you read that right.  So, obviously, I did NOT buy any.  They won't even cut samples of it, which at that price, I can't say that I blame them.  Note that there is actual bling on the chandeliers.  Oh how is screams "Angela!", but really $120/yard is just stupid.

I am now back home in the midst of organized chaos again, but I do feel a little bit better.
Shopping IS cheaper than therapy!
