Halloween Homeroom Mom Craft

Happy Halloween Crafters!

I am my daughter's Homeroom Mom, so it is my job to coordinate parties...which includes crafts.  So, I did what many of you do.  I searched Pinterest, and found a cute wreath craft.  But now I cannot find the link, so I apologize for not giving proper credit!!! If I find the link, I will add it here.

It was a simple Halloween wreath craft, but I added a little extra to it.  This would be a great craft for Thanksgiving and Christmas school parties as well.

Supply List

Paper Plates
Scissors
Xac
Pumpkin cutouts (I used my Cricut Expression and the Pumpkin Carving 101 Cartridge)
Hot Glue
Black Foam Board
Chalkboard Vinyl
White Paint Pen
Chalk
Yarn or Cording
Ribbon
Pipe Cleaner or Floral Wire
Black Marker

Halloween Wreath

Step 1:  Cut the center out of the paper plate.

Step 2:  Cut out 8 pumpkins per plate.  I used my Cricut Expression, orange cardstock from Hobby Lobby, and the Pumpkin Carving 101 Cartridge.  The pumpkins were cut at 5.25 inches.

Step 3:  Cut strips of black foam core (Hobby Lobby) at about 2.5 inches wide by 10 inches long.  I used my Xacto knife.

Step 4:  Peel off the backing of chalkboard vinyl and place the cut piece of foam core down, pressing firmly.

Step 5:  Using the Xacto knife, cut away the excess vinyl.

Step 6:  Use a white paint pen to write "days til Candy!"

Step 7:  Hot glue the signs to the paper plates.

Step 8:  Draw faces and names on your pumpkins and hot glue to wreath.  (I hot glued all the pumpkins in the classroom for safety reasons.)

Step 9:  Staple string to the back of the paper plate on the bottom, and tie a piece of chalk to the end.

Step 10:  Add a bow, and write the number of days til candy, which can be erased and updated each day.

The kids loved this craft!!!  Here is my daughter's version.  Due to time constraints, they could finish drawing the bottom jack-o-lantern faces at home.

Hope you & your family
have a Spooktacular Halloween!
Take time to "Prettify Your Life"!!!
