When all else fails...use duct tape.

Hi Everyone!

Nope, I didn't quit crafting, though, I must admit, I have been in a bit of a dry spell lately.  And add to that a crazy August, well...but I'm back!  I will have a video or two later this week.

So, as many of you know I am a graduate of Texas A&M University.  As many of you also know, I live in Oklahoma.  Now, those two don't mix.  Aggie (as we Texas A&M grads are called) gear is EXTREMELY hard if not downright impossible to come by in Oklahoma.  This is of GREAT annoyance to me because if you go to Dallas there is OU and OSU stuff very readily available.  So, even though I LOVE Oklahoma, if you didn't graduate from OU or OSU then you basically don't exist.  But, I digress....

So my next project is all about my beloved Texas A&M. As we say, "I bleed maroon." However, I recently discovered I had run out of Texas Aggie ribbon, a problem I will remedy when I go down to College Station, TX for the first home game in less than two weeks!!!  SEC, here we come!  But, I need ribbon NOW!  What to do??  Well, a few weeks ago a sweet friend of mine sent me a craft care package.  My first!  What was in it?  Take a look:

Yep, Texas A&M duct tape!  So, that gave me an idea...MAKE my own ribbon!  Check out the pics:

I keep 10 yard rolls of white ribbon on hand at all times.  I find this at Hobby Lobby in the wedding section and purchase it when ribbon is on sale.  I used this white ribbon as the base and then just laid down the A&M duct tape on top of it!  And, ta-da!  Aggie ribbon in the State of Oklahoma!!!

This duct tape is made by ShurTech Brands, LLC.  Not sure where my friend got it, but I know I have seen OU and OSU duct tape at Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Clever. You need to go on Craft Wars. They need some real crafters in there. Got the duct tape at Michaels.
