I've seen a few videos showing the I-Magicut by Imaginisce. This is a machine that not only cuts ribbon, but seals it as well. I finally found one at Michael's in the floral department and decided to do a product review for my viewers. I used a coupon to purchase it. It retails for around $20, and it runs on 4 AA batteries.
The video is literally the first time I used this machine ever. The videos says it all...

****Apparently this is a common problem. Shannon on the PYL FB group told me how she fixed hers. (Thanks for trying to help me Shannon!) Here is my video attempting the REPAIR on the BRAND NEW I-MAGICUT.
So, I give the I-Magicut a thumbs down, which is disappointing since the first cut was awesome. But, since it broke with the second cut, I cannot recommend this product. I basically wasted my money. :-( I really want to like this product because I like the sealing feature.
Do I dare buy another one and give it a second shot????

Thanks for your review on this product! I was just looking at it in Michael's yesterday and almost bought it, especially since they have a coupon for an extra 25% off your entire purchase right now. I refrained from buying it, because it just didn't look like it was worth $24.99, and I can see now that it isn't. Hopefully you can return it, or maybe even send your video to the imaginesce company and demand better products!

ReplyDeleteI did contact Imaginisce about the trouble I had with the ribbon cutter, and I included my blog link. As of right now, I haven't heard back from them. I will keep my readers posted. I should note that many people have not had any problems with this product. Perhaps the one I bought was defective. We will see. Thanks for the comment!
