Bunco Chain Garland

I've had my Pinterest account for a while now but have only recently REALLY gotten into it.  I created a board called "Garlands" and have been studying the different ways people have created them.  So, I decided to try one of my own in the popular "chain" style (or at least that is what I'm calling it).  I also have a pin board called "Bunco" where you can find the free printable that I used below.  LOVE Pinterest!

Chain Garland Tutorial

Step 1:  Print off the Bunco printable on heavy cardstock.  I get my white heavy cardstock at Wal-Mart.  It is by Georgia Pacific and is 110 lb weight paper.  (I printed off a lot of these Bunco circles!)  Make sure you have extra ink cartridges on hand!

Step 2:  Using my Marvy Uchida 3.5 inch punch (purchased at Hobby Lobby), I punched out the printed circles.

Step 3: Using my new Scotch laminator that I purchased at Wal-Mart, I laminated all the circles.  I LOVE this laminator, and I love laminating!!!  (The machine was about $25.)

Step 4: With scissors, cut out all the circles.

Step 5:  Now, using ribbon I already had, I hot glued circles to the ribbon at even increments.  I basically sandwiched the ribbon between two circles.  This chain is going in my front door garland, so I wanted images on either side just in case if the (who am I kidding, I live in Oklahoma) WHEN the wind blows you will still see images from either side.  It was handy using the polka dot ribbon.  I just counted the dots to have even spacing between each bunco circle.  Now just repeat this process over and over.  I probably made close to 30 feet of chain garland.  Will I need that much?  I don't know.  It all depends on how it hangs on the garland.  We will soon see!

Check back tomorrow for the bunco front door video, and see how this turned out!!!
