I'm trying it again...

So, years ago I purchased the Xyron Wishblade after a Scrapbook Store Owner said I wouldn't want the Cricut.  I took the Wishblade home and hooked it up to my brand new laptop with the AWFUL Vista operating system. Do you remember Vista?   Long story short, after countless hours of toil and frustration, I could not get the two to communicate with each other, and the Wishblade has collected dust ever since.  That is why I swore off computer-based cutting machines for literally years. That is also why I LOVE my Cricut.  It's easy to use!  However, with the newish Cricut Craft Room I have started to experiment once again cutting from my computer...and this time I haven't had any problems!

Now you are going to call me crazy, but I bought a Silhouette Cameo several months ago, and it is still sitting in the box on my craft room floor.  Despite all of the PYLers on the FB Group swearing it is easy and that I will love it....well, I'm nervous. Computer cutter anxiety. I HATE the learning curve. I just want to be able to take something out of the box, plug it in and use it.  And very few crafts or tools  intimidate me...except for crocheting which I have finally come to peace with the fact that I will never be able to do.  I digress.  I intend to conquer my fear and open up that box this weekend.  It's time.  I learned a ton of stuff about my Cricut from My Pink Stamper, but now I am looking for a Cameo teacher. So, fellow crafters, do you have a teacher/blogger/you tuber/crafter you can recommend with awesome Cameo tutorials???? If so, please comment below.

  1. Underacherrytree on YouTube has some great tutorials that helped me when I was new to the Cameo. I don't do anything super advanced, but think I have the basics down with very little practice or time.

I LOVE my Cameo! My crafting has turned more towards soapmaking, but I'm sure I'll need some diversity (as I always do with any craft) and will head back to paper arts and my Cameo.

Have fun with it !!! ~Suzy
